The birthfather has as many rights as you do, however he must prove that he wants to be a parent in order to fully stop an adoption. Most of the time they are not willing to hire an attorney or willing to pay child support, much less decide they want to be the sole provider. It is important that you share your concerns with your coordinator and the attorney, so they can help you understand the legal process.
