About Us

We met through mutual friends. We had great fun at the game nights Dominique hosted but it took six months before we started dating. We have been together for over 10 years and married for 8 of them.

We love spending time with each other and make the most of that time. Whether it’s trying new restaurants, having friends over for a BBQ, or spending time on our boat. We also love hiking, traveling, camping and hosting game nights.

We have an open adoption with both of our son Logan’s birth parents and have a shared app where we upload pictures, videos, and updates to on a regular basis. We are open to having an open adoption with you too! We are ready to start the adventure again and add to our family.

Meet Dominique

Dominique is an excellent cook, and has a true passion for making our house welcoming and relaxing. She goes above and beyond for everyone in her life. I knew she would be a great mom and seeing her with our son, I know for a fact this is her calling – Dustin

I knew when my brother Jeremy came to us at 3 weeks old that adoption I wanted to adopt. It taught me that love and family mean so much more than blood relation. I want my children to be proud of their story and know that they are surrounded by people that love them to the moon and back. – Dominique

Meet Dustin

Dustin is the life of our house. He is always making me laugh and pitching in with diaper duty or a quick errand. He is also a favorite with kiddos. They love his willingness to play games, sneak cookies and try new tricks at the trampoline park. He is an attentive dad and can’t wait to teach our kids how to get the most out of life. – Dominique

I am so pumped up to be a dad. I think of all the things I wish I had learned while growing up and want to show and teach my children all I can. I want to support them no matter what they are interested in and I’ll be there always cheering them on! – Dustin

Our Family

Dominique is the oldest of 7 and the only girl. She knew early on that adoption was for her, because it runs in the family. Her mom and uncle were both adopted and 5 of her 6 brothers were too. Her parents are very supportive of the adoption process. Her brothers can’t wait to be uncles and share their adoption journeys with our kids. Growing up in a culturally diverse family (4 of her brothers are African American, 1 is Native American and her Caucasian biological brother) gives her unique insight into the challenges and the respect for differing cultures and heritages.

Dustin has 1 brother and 3 sisters. Though his parents divorced when he was 10, they both remarried and have lived happily with their spouses for a long time. Since adoption has been the plan all along, it was no surprise to his family when we let them know it was time to start the journey. Their nieces have all already offered to come help when the baby gets here.

Our Texas Home

We live in a quiet neighborhood full of ranch style houses. We have 3 bedrooms and we’ve remodeled our home to make one of our living rooms into a game room. We’ve made sure everything is kid friendly, we even crafted a train table and nature table that slides under the pool table! We have a large fenced in back yard that is surrounded with nature.

We have 3 great dogs! Dustin rescued Pepper, Redbull is the pack leader, and Guinness is our little guy. All the dogs are very gentle and friendly. We also have 3 backyard chickens. They are fun to watch and give us more eggs than we can eat in a week.

In Closing

Our promise to you is that our children will be surrounded by love. We truly believe it takes a village to raise a child and we have a great village. We promise to give your child options and to push them to pursue their passions. We promise to bring your child up to be successful, happy and contributing members of society. We believe adoption is a beautiful way to build a family and want our children to be proud of their journey. We are open to any race for our child. And we are open to letters, emails, phone calls and even visits with our child’s birth family. To learn more about us, please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests

Dustin loves movies. He has a large DVD collection and loves to quote movies and act out scenes. He also loves anything to do with water; fishing, boating, swimming, walking in the rain. We spend a lot of time at the lake and Dustin even bought jet skis to play with this summer.
Dominique loves anything to do with homemaking. She cooks dinner every night (except on date night), and tries new recipes from her extensive cookbook collection. She also makes quilts and sews for all her friends with kiddos. She has been coming up with a pattern for a toddler-sized tool belt most recently. She also loves decorating and making seasonal crafts (their front door always has a festive new wreath on it).

Our Faith

We both consider ourselves to be non-denominational Christians. Dominique grew up going to church with her grandparents and was heavily involved in high school; even worked at a church and mentored junior high girls. We both attend a larger church a couple times a month and really enjoy the teachings. We both have a very strong moral compass, in part because of our religion. We plan on having our children attend with us, but also want to give them a broad education for them to make their own choices. Dustin wasn't raised going to church but really appreciated being able to explore different things until his heart landed in Christianity.

Our Musical Interest

We both love music! Dustin has a couple of guitars and can strum out some songs (he used those skills when he was wooing Dominique). Dominique took some violin lessons in grade school. Though we don't have the talent, we do have the love. There is always music on at our house. Dustin loves to change the words to songs and sing to the puppies and to Dominique. We also love dancing around the house. Dustin is pretty famous within his friend group for his epic dance moves!

About Our Home

We live in a quiet neighborhood full of ranch style houses built in the 60's. This means we have a huge yard full of large trees and no silly stairs to run up and down! We have 3 bedrooms and lots of living space. We spent last year remodeling our home to make one of our living rooms into a game room. Dustin loves to play pool with friends. We thought about our future children during the renovation and made sure everything is kid friendly, we even crafted a train table and nature table that slides under the pool table! We have a large fenced in back yard that is surrounded with bushes and trees to explore. We don't tend to get much wildlife, mostly because we live in a large metroplex, but also cause our dog Guinness thinks it's his mission to keep squirrels out of our yard.

Our Dogs

We have 3 dogs! Pepper was a rescued dog that acts like a puppy, even though she is 10 already! Redbull is a Bischon/Jack Russel mix. She is the pack leader, and is obsessed with babies! When our nieces come over she can not get enough cuddling. Guinness is our little guy, though he is not so little anymore. He is a Maltese/Yorkie mix and when he is not defending our yard he is trying to cuddle on Dominique's lap. All the dogs are very gentle, and friendly. They have several doggy friends that they enjoy play dates with and they have been around lots of kids.

We live in the state of...

Texas! We have both moved all over the country but love this state. The cultural diversity, the action packed weekends, the closeness to lakes and parks. We are Texans at heart.

Our Neighborhood

We live in a well established older neighborhood. Even though we are in the heart of a major metroplex, all the houses in our neighborhood have large yards with lots of huge trees. We have one of the top-rated elementary schools in the city and it is exclusive for our neighborhood. Our homeowners association hosts fourth of July parades, Halloween fairs and many other activities to bring all of us together. We are 2 blocks from a wonderful park that is full of ducks and a pond. Not even a mile from a newly renovated library, activity center, pool and soccer fields.

Future Contact with Birth Family

We desire to have a relationship with you, to what extent will depend on what you are comfortable with. We believe adoption is a beautiful way to build a family and want our children to be proud of their journey. The best way to do that is to have their birth mother be part of that picture for more than just the beginning. We are open to letters, emails, phone calls, and even visits, and believe we will be able to find that balance with you if you would be comfortable.
