A Letter from Chris & Kris

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us a bit. We are a genuine couple who look forward to growing our family through adoption. We will show your child unconditional love. We will read bedtime stories to your child and we are excited to teach him or her how to ride a bike and swim. Our 4-year-old daughter loves to talk about things she and her sibling will do together.

We would love to talk to you about what you want for your child and answer any questions that you have. We will lovingly welcome a child of any race or gender up to 2-years-old and we would be happy to keep in touch with you through photos, letters, and visits if you wish.

About Us

We are blessed to have a wonderful marriage where we love and support each other. We have a 4-year-old daughter who is looking forward to becoming a big sister. Kris is fortunate to be able to work from home ensuring that family is always the priority. She is able to make breakfast, volunteer at school activities, and be there when the children arrive home from school.

We love our family traditions and making new ones. From cooking to fishing, to home projects, we truly enjoy each other’s company and are excited to share our lives with another child.

About Chris

Chris was raised on a farm and has a genuine love for all things outdoors; golfing, hunting, and fishing being some of his favorites. Chris comes from a large and supportive family. He is kind, funny, smart, and always willing to help others. He loves to grill, watch football, and spend time with family and friends. He’s an amazing husband and father. Chris is excited to share his love of the outdoors with another child and teach him or her how to fish and garden.

About Kris

When I met Kris, I knew immediately I wanted to marry her. She has an amazing sense of humor and is the most kind and intelligent woman I know. She loves to decorate the house for holiday’s, cook, spend time with her family and friends, and play dress-up with Makenna wearing her old bridesmaids dresses. She continually exceeds my expectations as a mother and wife and is the love of my life. Kris is looking forward to making forts, building snowmen, and decorating cookies with another child.

Future Best Big Sister, Makenna

Makenna is kind, confident, and smart. She loves to sing at the top of her lungs, swim, read, and play dress-up. You can find her (easily) playing hide-and-seek because she yells “here I am” after only hiding for seconds. She is beyond excited about having a sibling and we often find her dragging all her toys into the nursery saying she’s waiting for her brother or sister to get here so they can play!

Our Wonderful Family

We are so lucky to have such amazing families. We love having our family over to grill, have a game night, go bowling, or just sit around the table and catch up. Chris’ parents have been married for 63 years and still live on the farm that he grew up on. Chris is the youngest of 8 children. We love to pick raspberries and strawberries on their farm or walk through their field.

Kris’ parents have been married for 51 years and still live in the house she grew up in. We love to meet her parents at different restaurants around the city, go to their home for family gatherings, or play soccer in their yard. Kris’ parents have a special connection with us since they traveled the same path adopting Kris’s brother and sister. Both sides of our family are ecstatic about our decision to adopt and are eager to welcome the newest member!

Our Home in Minnesota

We recently bought our dream home in a suburb of the Twin Cities! It is a four-bedroom home that has a big yard with a playground, plenty of room to run both inside and out, a large deck we BBQ on, and a front porch with a swing. And this house was made for hide and seek!

We enjoy the amazing diversity, great schools, and festivals that our city offers. But we also are comfortably nuzzled in our quiet suburb riding bikes and camping out in our backyard- it’s the best of both worlds! We are excited to make new memories with our children in our new home. We have a nursery ready with a crib that can easily be converted to a toddler bed. Our home is filled with giggles, crayons, bubbles, and endless amounts of love; we look forward to sharing this with another child.

Our Promise

We will love your child unconditionally and provide a safe home that is full of love, laughter, faith, and family traditions. We will respect an adoption plan that you feel the most comfortable with. Your child will know that you brought us all together.

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests

We love spending time with Makenna, our extended family, and cooking. Having company is a good excuse to try out a new recipe. Living in Minnesota gives us the opportunity to explore the city or just get out and enjoy all four seasons.

Our Faith

We are Christian.

Our Child

Makenna is our 3-year-old daughter and will make a great big sister. When Makenna walks by the nursery, she says, "that's my brother's or sister's room." She is excited for a sibling to share the wagon on our walks and color pictures with.

Our Dog

Our dog, Willie, is a 5-year-old Brittany. Willie loves to run outside, play fetch, and snuggle on the couch; and he isn't picky about with whom! Willie is a great dog who is wonderful with children.
